Amazon to locate new US logistics centre in Shakopee 18 June 2015

Employees will work alongside innovative technologies, including Amazon Robotics

Amazon.com, Inc. is to build a nearly 92,900 m2 fulfilment centre in Shakopee, Minn., US. Amazon will create more than 1,000 full-time jobs at the site when the fulfilment centre opens.

This expansion will enable the Company to provide faster deliveries and better services to its customers in the local region. At the facility, Amazon employees will pick, pack and ship small items to customers such as books, electronics and consumer goods.

Associates will work alongside innovative technologies, including Amazon Robotics, which will be used on a daily basis to fulfil customer orders.
