Goodman has formally opened its Goodman Chongqing Airport Logistics Park in Western China. The park, which provides a total area of 190,000 m2 of prime logistics space, is Goodman's first development in Chongqing.
Its customers include Grundfos, a Danish pump manufacturer and three integrated logistics companies; Nikkon Logistics, an international Japanese logistics company, Best Logistics, one of China's largest operators and Yunda Express, one of the largest privately-owned express delivery companies in China.
Strategically located adjacent to the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, Goodman Chongqing Airport Logistics Park has excellent connectivity to the Chongqing-Chengdu economic corridor and is in close proximity to Chongqing downtown. It comprises a total of eight warehouses with an estimated end value of US$130.0 million.
To date Goodman has developed 110,000 m2 of Chongqing Airport Logistics Park, with a further 80,000 m2 to be completed. Goodman plans to invest US$400.0 million in Western China in the coming two to three years.
