Aims to establish a network of around 2,500 parcel shops at retail outlets
Halfords is to partner with DPD as part of the new DPD PickUp parcel shop network launching in June. Halfords has over 460 stores across the UK and will join the Rowlands and Numark Pharmacy chains already signed-up. Further retail partners are set to be announced in the coming weeks as DPD aims to establish a network of around 2,500 parcel shops at retail outlets.
DPD PickUp aims to integrate collect and return into the purchasing and delivery processes and offer customers a greatly improved service experience. From June, DPD PickUp locations will be available as an alternative to home delivery.
DPD PickUp will also be added as one of the ‘in-flight’ options available in DPD’s text and email notifications, which are sent ahead of a scheduled home delivery. If customers aren’t going to be at home they can divert their delivery to a DPD PickUp point for collection at a time that suits them.
