Hermes has launched the most comprehensive international delivery solution on the market, enabling retailers seamless access to consumers in 20 European countries. It will also provide a simple and effective cross border returns service designed to overcome the reticence of international customers to buy from overseas websites due to concerns about returning unwanted items.
The Hermes International service offers a fully tracked end-to-end solution that can be managed through a single point of integration. All transportation will be undertaken by Hermes Logistics’ own fleet throughout Europe delivering a secure, single carrier experience, with a number of final mile options including access to over 36,000 parcel shops and Hermes’ unique courier model.
The service will be supported by a dedicated international team based in Hamburg providing a single point of contact. There are also plans in place to expand the service beyond its current focus on EU countries to comprise a total of 35 countries, including Russia by 2015.
