Move follows successful pilot in 42 stores
The Co-operative has teamed up with Hermes to offer its ParcelShop service that provides consumers with an effective means of sending personal and business parcels, returning unwanted Internet purchases and to specify their local Co-op store as an alternative delivery address.
Following a successful pilot in 42 stores the service is being extended to up to 450 outlets across the UK, making the Co-op one of Hermes’ biggest business partners.
Hermes and Co-op said that they will choose which outlets will offer the ParcelShop services based on a range of criteria including location, consumer demand and opening hours.
