ID Logistics opens logistics centre for the Panzani group 03 June 2014

ID Logistics has opened a new logistics platform at Berre-l’Etang (Bouches-du-Rhône) dedicated to managing logistical flows and exports for Panzani (Ebro Foods Group) in the South of France. ID Logistics was selected by Panzani last August as part of its ‘Grand Sud’ project, the aim of which was to combine the logistics management of its South-of-France and export activities at one site. These had previously been managed at three sites by two different service providers.

The project initially required the establishment of a site able to handle 40,000 pallets. The Berre-l’Etang logistics platform employs around 40 people and consists of five units with a total surface area of 32,000 m2. There is capacity to add a further five units.

Aided by Infolog software, ID Logistics manages Panzani’s South-of-France and export flows at the site, from the reception of containers to the shipping packages around the world, using radio-frequency and vocal-recognition software.

The collaboration agreement has been signed for an initial period of three years.
