Focusing on reducing reliance on 3rd party carriers
Ingram Micro Commerce & Lifecycle Services has announced the opening of three new logistics centres to better serve US ITAD clients. The new facilities are located in Orlando, FL; Hebron, KY; and Las Vegas, NV, and are the first wave of a planned nine-facility expansion in 2018.
Each logistics centre location was selected to foster expansion in underserved geographies. In addition, the Hebron and Las Vegas facilities leverage established Ingram Micro locations to reduce costs and speed implementation. ITAD-dedicated Ingram Micro trucks, degaussers, and shredders are located at each facility to enhance onsite data destruction services and improve service request response times.
As the Company pursues its strategic expansion in the coming months, it will continue to focus on reducing reliance on 3rd party carriers, shortening lead times, improving efficiency, and reducing costs for both traditional ITAD pickups and client-site data erasure and destruction services.
