New logistics park to be created at port of Gothenburg 23 June 2015

Cost-effective transport from port to warehouse

A new logistics park is being created directly beside the Port of Gothenburg. At 1.0million m2 in size, the park is expected to generate more than 2,000 jobs. The park is located directly adjacent to the port's freight terminals on Hisingen in Gothenburg.

There has for a long time been a shortage of land for logistics and distribution close to the Port of Gothenburg. To address this need, the park is the process of being created. Half of the area, 500,000 m2, will be transformed into storage and logistics properties over the next few years.

DB Schenker and the tyre importer Amring have already moved into the area. The whole park will be completed by around 2025.

The new logistics park will have five companies as property owners, including the Gothenburg Port Authority, NCC, Prologis, Eklandia and Bockasjo.
