New facility is an important element of the Company’s competitive edge
Panattoni has embarked on the construction of Panattoni Park Gorzow Wielkopolski, planned to total nearly 70,000 m2. The site is 7km from the city centre, in the vicinity of the S3 route leading from Szczecin to the A2 motorway, and has already secured its first tenants. They are Omnipack and Logoplaste Polska, taking up in excess of 10,000 m2 in total.
Omnipack delivers comprehensive fulfilment solutions for eCommerce, and has leased 6,500 m2 at Panattoni Park Gorzow Wielkopolski. The Company has been developing very dynamically, and will be taking up new warehouse space to enable expansion of service into the European market.
Nearly half of Omnipack’s customers do business internationally, and the Company has a presence in countries including Germany, the UK, France and the Czech Republic.
The location in Gorzow is part of its strategy for 2020, which provides for international expansion. By opening a warehouse next to the German border, it will be able to offer next working day deliveries in that market, and at a price very similar to local domestic rates in Germany. It is a very important element of the Company’s competitive edge, facilitating operations in the European eCommerce market.
The other tenant is Logoplaste, a global value-added service provider and manufacturer of rigid plastic containers for many well-known global consumer companies. The new space at Panattoni Park Gorzow Wielkopolski, amounting to more than 3,700 m2, reinforces the domestic position of Logoplaste Polska. The site will become an important logistics hub for it and its customers.
Panattoni Park Gorzów Wielkopolski is the developer’s most recent project in Lubuskie voivodeship, along the S3 expressway. To date, the Company delivered predominantly production facilities, but also two modern distribution centres in Zielona Góra. The logistics centre in Gorzów, with close to 70,000 m2 of space, has been designed to consist of two buildings, catering to the needs of customers from a range of business sectors. The halls feature modern loading docks, ground-level access gates, as well as ample office space which can be customised to individual needs. The project will fulfil the criteria of BREEAM certification with a ‘VERY GOOD’ rating.
