Facility is biggest GM investment worldwide in spare parts logistics
Opel is building in a new spare parts distribution centre in Germany, at the Opel site in Bochum-Langendreer. Investing some €60.0 million in the new 95,000 m2 facility, it will employ 700 people, managing European spare parts supplies from 2017. More than 100,000 different part items will be stored in the new distribution centre.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the project, which represents General Motors’ biggest single investment worldwide in spare parts logistics, has taken place.
