Potter Logistics reports improved profits
Re-negotiation of key contracts as well as gaining new clients
Potter Logistics has posted its financial results for the year ending April 2014. With increased turnover across all areas of the business, the Company continues to show profitable organic growth. This is the sixth consecutive year that the logistics, property and waste management group has delivered improved profits.
The business posted a profit before tax (PBT) of £1.7 million. Turnover grew by 8.0% to £24.0 million. Potter continued its recent trend of investment with expenditure of £1.4 million on their fleet and £0.9 million on warehouse improvements including finalising the lease of a new Knowsley based warehouse, Charley Wood Point.
This year also saw the re-negotiation of key contracts as well as gaining new clients across all the distribution centres. 2014-2015 will see the launch of the Company’s 50th anniversary celebrations in late 2014, concluding with a celebratory event in September 2015 for staff, customers and suppliers.
