STG Logistics establishes regional head office in Chicago 26 September 2017

STG (St. George Logistics), jointly with real estate developer Hamilton Partners, announced a multi-million dollar expansion to STG’s logistics centre in the Greater Chicago Area. The resulting campus, located in Elk Grove Village, will become STG’s new regional headquarters upon its completion in Q1, 2018.

Operating 32 facilities across the US, STG is one of the country’s leading providers of warehousing and transportation services critical to the import/export supply chain. The Company’s operations in greater Chicago, located at 875 Devon Avenue in Elk Grove Village, consist of over 23,225 m2 of prime distribution space. These facilities will be upgraded to expand processing capacity, increase efficiency, and to create corporate offices that will house several company executives and a variety of newly created corporate positions.

STG plans to significantly increase the facility’s number of bay doors, expand door widths to accommodate oversized loads, and implement major upgrades to lift mechanisms. In addition to materially increasing STG’s capacity and capabilities in Chicago, the upgrades will also reduce trucker wait times, enhance ease of access, and increase the number of street turns.

Moreover, the facility will feature a new, state-of-the-art truckers’ lounge with unmatched accommodations including televisions, charging stations, a self-service market, and other comfortable accommodations.
