DSV now has a strong presence on the Indian subcontinent
With the merger of the Companies UTi and DSV offices in Kolkata and Vadodara, the integration process on the Indian subcontinent has begun. UTi had an existing large and long-standing presence in India. This is the foundation for the new DSV organisation, which is now coming together across the Indian subcontinent.
UTi has been servicing the Indian market since 1992. DSV, on the other hand, is a relatively new entrant (established in India in 2006), but has already made a mark for itself, garnering a revenue of more than US$60.0 million in 2015.
Together, the two companies now employ more than 900 staff producing a total turnover of more than US$170 million in 2015. The new DSV India handles 53,000 tonnes of air freight and 68,000 TEU of ocean freight annually; and the contract logistics arm has no less than 65,032 m2 of warehousing space spread across India.
DSV now has a strong presence on the Indian subcontinent with 17 locations in India and five locations in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
