Reducing lead-times to 111 dealers across seven States
Volkswagen is expanding a Regional Parts Distribution Centre (PDC) in Bangalore, India. The investment is in line with the Company's three depot network strategy, part of a 'Depot Network Development Project'. The facility will fulfil adhere to the automotive manufacturer’s global standards, reducing lead-times in providing genuine parts to 111 dealers of Audi, Volkswagen and Skoda across the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, Goa and Kerala.
The facility was first established in 2015 to strengthen the Company's network in the southern part of the country. This region contributes almost one-half of parts sales in India.
As part of the Company’s continuous expansion of its aftersales and spare parts network in India, a further Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) at Chakan, Pune is being planned. This RDC is expected to be operational in Q4, 2018.
