DJO elects to take over operations at logistics centre
XPO Logistics set to make over 300 workers at a Fort Worth, US, distribution centre redundant from 12th April, according to a notice filed with the Texas Workforce Commission. According to the notice, XPO plans to lay off a total of 304 workers at its AllianceTexas facility, located at 3300 Eagle Parkway in Fort Worth.
Reports suggest that an XPO customer DJO, an orthopedic device manufacturer, is taking over the distribution centre operations and could be interview former XPO workers for jobs.
DJO may offer continued employment to current employees, though XPO stated that it does not yet know the details, or total number of employees that it may desire to keep in the current positions.
