Initial installation at national distribution centre before nationwide store roll out
Pets at Home, the UK pet care retailer, is implementing AGR’s Inventory Optimiser inventory management system. The Company, founded in 1991, now operates over 250 stores across the UK. The software will initially be installed in Pets at Home’s national distribution centre before being rolled out to all stores throughout the UK. In the longer term, the Company is looking to control costs by reducing the need for additional warehousing as purchasing cycles/patterns change.
Pets at Home chose the Inventory Optimiser solution because it is an uncomplicated, easy to use application, which delivers the results of complex calculations in an understandable, relevant and re-useable format. As the Retailer’s business continues to grow, Inventory Optimiser will give the Company improved visibility of demand patterns, as well as the ability to make better and more profitable purchasing decisions.
