DHL Express Qatar celebrates 30 years in operation in 2010

DHL has appointed Daniel Kearvell as the new General Manager of DHL Express Qatar. In his new role, Kearvell will oversee the strategic development of DHL Express’ operations in Qatar, a key performing market for DHL in the Middle East region, while building on the Company’s existing focus on delivering customer service excellence.

Kearvell has broad experience in the global express and logistics industry in the Emerging Markets region, having worked in general management positions in London, Russia, Brussels and Dubai. He brings to the role a comprehensive understanding of leadership, commercial and operational strategies, and a strong track record of management success.

Prior to his current appointment, Daniel worked in a management position in DHL Emerging Markets Finance Department, based in Brussels and Dubai respectively. He spent seven years in Russia, living in both Moscow and St Petersburg, where he was leading the business in the position of Area Manager for West Russia. In this position, Daniel drove business performance to achieve 40.0% growth in three consecutive years, while overseeing DHL St Petersburg’s relocation to a modern terminal in the city.

Prior to joining DHL, Kearvell was in employment with the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce, in their London, Moscow and St Petersburg offices. He founded the Chamber’s St Petersburg office in 2004, subsequently ensuring its position as the leading Chamber of Commerce in West Russia.

DHL Express Qatar celebrates 30 years in operation in 2010. Recently, several investments have been made to reinforce its market leading position in the Express and Logistics industry in the country.
