Whilst confidence amongst manufacturers and retailers has remained at the same levels as our 2025 report, we note a fall in optimism amongst logistics providers this year. Despite this, there are notes of encouragement.

This year our research was undertaken against a backdrop of subdued global economic growth, as countries around the world adapt to evolving trade conditions.
Geopolitical risks, including tariff shifts and supply‑chain disruptions pose downside risks to economic growth. Uncertainty, in particular, can weigh on business confidence and intentions to invest.
